Dermal Fillers

Deep wrinkles, loss of volume, and dry skin are all signs of aging. Our Centennial clinic’s dermal and wrinkle filler treatments can help you take those signs away, so you can face the world with the youthful glow you had years ago.

What is DERMAL FILLERS

Fillers are normally made of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance within our bodies. It is a gel looking like substance that is used to fill in deep wrinkles, add volume to cheeks or lips. It is even used to add hydration to skin, such as hands and face. Dermal fillers are casually known as wrinkle fillers, they can do much more than just smooth out wrinkles, although they are excellent at this too! Here are a few of the common issues dermal fillers can help address:

  •     Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines)
  •     Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples
  •     Diminish vertical lip lines
  •     Plump & enhance the lips
  •     Smooth out a chin crease
  •     Improve symmetry among facial features

Procedure:

Our Registered Nurse will carefully and thoroughly access the area needed injection,  and create a customized treatment plan that will enhanced desired outcome. RN will numb the area to be injected with high percentage lidocaine cream, placing it under a plastic wrap for better absorption. In about 20 minutes, area should be ready to get injected with minimal to no discomfort. Depending on the area injected, procedure usually takes 15-30 minutes, and even less in some cases. Afterwards, the area can be massaged by our Centennial clinic’s dermal filler specialist. Dermal fillers usually give instant results.

Risks and downtime:

Most common: some swelling is expected in the area injected and will go away within 48-72 hours. Bruising may also happen and will take up to 7 days to resolve. Other risks will be discussed during the consultation.

Homecare:

After receiving a hyaluronic acid injection at our Centennial med spa, we recommend that you avoid exercise for the next 48 hours; no sauna, jacuzzi for a week. Massaging the area might be necessary, but depends on the case. Avoid blood thinning products such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, garlic. Home care instructions will be handed out and thoroughly explained during the visit.

How long does it last:

Longevity of the results depend on area injected, desired outcome and product used. Our experienced Registered Nurse will customized care plan choosing best product for the best result.
