What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma is derived for your own blood, by collecting it and spinning it in the centrifuge, a specific layer of the plasma called “PRP”, this magic “liquid gold” contains growth factors, platelets and white blood cells. Risks and downtime:

Redness and minor swelling lasts on average few hours, small pinpoint red spots may be visible on forehead, expect some dryness for couple days post procedure. Overall downtime is minimal and you can expect to return to your normal activities within a day.

Procedure:

Face, Neck and Decollate thoroughly cleansed and prescription grade numbing cream applied for 20 min prior to procedure. Blood is collected via venipuncture and then your nurse will start preparing PRP while you relax and numbing of the face takes place. When face is ready for “vampire facial” , liquid gold is applied to skin while micro needling device, with sterile tiny needles puncture face. This is a controlled environment for such skin injury, it is relatively painless. Post micro needling, a collagen sheet mask applied and 15 min of red LED light therapy is used to calm down skin and decrease swelling and redness.

Homecare:

Gentle cleanser, SPF 30 or more is to be used daily, good moisturizer to keep skin hydrated and Growth Factor Gel to be applied daily for the next several days. Clients will receive a take home products and Home Care instructions. Key is to have a consistent home care skin regimen!
